- #ane
I finished my content review, and have 1 month to become before my MCAT. My goal is to go a competitive score for MD schools.
How should I approach this final month? Should I skim over my content review books every mean solar day?
Should I exercise practice tests alternate days? When should I use my AAMC material- At present or 2 weeks before examination twenty-four hours?
Any other recommendations for how to approach the final month?

Do as many questions every bit you tin can and go back over weak areas. The final ii weeks practise all the AAMC practice tests you tin can and review the answers. Read up on content areas that you missed questions on in the practice tests.

Do 1 full-length practice test a week under the same weather condition every bit the real exam. Doing i every other day would probably cause burnout.

do do tests until your scores are consistent at the level that you want them to be.

Take tests on alternating days!
1. Have exam in conditions similar to test twenty-four hours (i.eastward. same start time, quiet surroundings, etc.), when you're washed with the exam look at your score then go exercise something else for the day
2. Side by side day, review every question on your test including the ones you got right! Place weak areas and do content review.
iii. Repeat until test day
The more than you desire it the better you'll exercise, good luck!

Should I aim for an FL every alternate 24-hour interval? I have six total FL's and the AAMC question packs for the 2015 MCAT, but volition be able to use my friend'due south sometime AAMC MCAT practice tests.
For the older AAMC tests, should I effort for ii a day? And if so, can I utilize all three sections while selectively ignoring the removed material (round motion, etc), or would I exist meliorate off doing EK 1001 bug, or should I do both?

Practice one total-length exercise test a calendar week under the same atmospheric condition as the real exam. Doing ane every other day would probably cause burnout.
I did ane of the onetime ones every 24-hour interval for the old test, but yep, with a vii hour examination, definitely i every other twenty-four hour period is max and potentially too much. And I felt the burnout a footling to the end also.

Ii FL'south in a day is a fleck much in my stance... 4 hours each, plus 3 hours review each means about 14 hour days. Possible... theoretically. Advisable... not at all.

I did one of the old ones every day for the old exam, but yeah, with a 7 hour test, definitely one every other mean solar day is max and potentially as well much. And I felt the burnout a lilliputian to the end too.
2 FL'due south in a day is a bit much in my opinion... iv hours each, plus 3 hours review each means virtually 14 hour days. Possible... theoretically. Advisable... not at all.
I've decided to exercise one FL on alternate days. Practise yous recommend I review the test later on during the aforementioned day, or wait until the side by side day to review?
I don't think I'll come up close to 3 hours reviewing a test. When I review, I merely attempt to empathize the solutions, run into what I did wrong and reinforce the concept. Is there a surefire good approach to reviewing a FL?

I agree with this, simply I would say you should probably do more than Psych and Bio, and less Ochem. Remember Psych and Bio have their ain sections. You substitute Ochem with Biochem if at all possible, and ever expect for enquiry heavy passages.
Which is kind of sad, considering I am one of the few that really really liked Ochem.
And yeah, actually sympathise the reasons you got things wrong (and correct), and then select actress issues on similar topics.

Accept a test every week. Don't mind to people who say alternating days bc they haven't taken the new 8 hr mcat. In betwixt exams, just do a agglomeration of exercise questions starting with weak areas
